Object: Investigate the role of clinical laboratory information systems in quality assurance in the testing process. Method: Describes the various functions of the LIS and roles in the whole testing process. Results: In the testing process prior to analysis on sample bar code generated, samples receiving, and unqualified specimens statistics; In the testing process in analysis on internal quality control monitoring, two-way communication, the critical value monitoring; In the testing process after-analysis on specimens execution state, the TAT time, the auditing and sending of the test results, LIS played an important role, thus ensure the quality assurance in the testing process. Conclusion: It contributes to the achievement of the laboratory standardized management.
